Clematis viticella is a deciduous climbing plant that can grow up to 15 feet (4.5 meters) tall. It has slender, woody stems and mid-green leaves that are divided into lance-shaped leaflets. The plant produces small, bell-shaped flowers in shades of pink, purple, red, and white from mid-summer to early autumn.
